Staff News
Here at Appletree our team is growing. We would like to introduce you to Kayleigh, our lovely trainee dental nurse. Kayleigh started with us in October and has proven to be a wonderful addition to the Appletree team.
We would also like to welcome Mr. David Tighe, Oral and Maxillofacial Consultant to the team. Mr. Tighe is well known in East Kent for his dedication to Head and Neck Cancer. He also specialises in Facial Pain, Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction and Oral Surgery and Implants. Consultations can be booked through our Reception Team.
Lastly, we would like to congratulate Hannah on her recent promotion to Lead Dental Nurse, it is very well deserved, and we look forward to supporting her in her new role. We also wish her the very best of luck in her Dental Radiography exam, which she is due to sit in the Spring! She has been working hard to ensure she can provide our patients with the best possible care when carrying out dental radiographs and imaging.
No shows
Unfortunately, we are having an increase in the number of patients failing to attend their scheduled appointments. Missed appointments and late cancellations represent a cost to the practice and are an inconvenience to you and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. Failed appointments can interfere with dental treatment and create unnecessary scheduling problems for other patients. If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to rearrange it but kindly request that you provide us with a minimum of 48 hours notice. This allows us time to schedule in a patient who may be in urgent need of our care.
As a gentle reminder that all missed appointments will result in a £50 charge.
If you fail to attend a specialist appointment or a treatment appointment, you may be charged the full cost of your appointment. This also applies if you are late to an appointment and the treatment can no longer be carried out.
Parking
Due to the expansion of our team, please can we remind you that our carpark is strictly for staff. If you are coming to your appointment and require access closer to the building, please let us know and we will do our very best to accomodate to make the visit as stress-free as possible for you.

Invisalign is essentially a painless and discreet way to straighten your teeth. Dr Harriss has completed extensive training to be able to provide this treatment to our patients. The treatment costs just £4,495 and includes all scans, photos and x-rays.

EMS Airflow Hygienist Therapy
Our hygienists provide excellent treatments for gum health in the form of EMS Airflow Therapy. This is the gold standard treatment for optimal tooth and gum health, it involves using Guided Biofilm Technology where they are able to see areas of bacterial colonisation that can progress to cause gum disease and compromised oral health. It is also excellent at removing staining from all the fun things like tea, coffee and red wine. If you haven’t experienced it, you really should!
