General Dentistry is all aspects of dentistry that can be provided to you on a daily basis, from routine check up appointments to fillings, crowns, dentures.

Hygiene Therapy is a vital part of maintaining Oral health, this is more than what has become to be known as a ‘scale and polish’. This is all about your gum health and methods of oral care.

Nervous Patients are more common than you think! Do not feel alone in feeling anxiety and stress when thinking of attending the dentist, we see this on a daily basis and that is why we do our best to make Appletree a welcoming and relaxed place to visit. All of our clinicians are highly experienced and will do their utmost to make you feel at ease.

Emergency Dentistry is to manage or treat symptoms including pain, swelling or trauma. Our clinicians are experienced in all of these fields and will do what they can to relieve your pain and discomfort and advise you on your options.

If you have swelling that is affecting the opening of your eye or that extends down the neck and throat and is particularly affecting under the chin and tongue please attend William Harvey Hospital Accident and Emergency Immediately. If you have experienced trauma and you lost consciousness at any point please attend William Harvey Accident and Emergency.

Dental Implants replace lost or missing teeth. It is a single unit that is placed into your bone to resemble a tooth root and then a tooth is placed on top. It is a specialist service provided by Dentists who have undergone further training.

Oral Surgery Consultant is someone who has significant further qualifications and specialises in the removal of complicated teeth such as impacted wisdom teeth or impacted canines. Due to complex anatomy many dentists are unable to perform these procedures.

Maxillofacial Consultant is a Clinician who is dually qualified, with both a Dental and Medical Degree. They have significant surgical experience mostly with Head and Neck Cancer but also with Atypical Facial Pain, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Oral Medicine, Complex Bone Grafting and Dental Implants.

Root Canal Specialist is a dentist who is recognised on a Specialist register having achieved further qualifications for a particular procedure. General dentists refer treatment to the specialist if it is beyond their scope of practice.
